Schinkel Fine Art

An award-winning, internationally recognized mother-son duo, we fuse photography and metal art through an interpretative process. Using etching, engraving, grinding, and custom-adapted tools, we transform 2D metal into dynamic visual experiences. Our unique fusion, Metalagram, merges photography’s precision with the depth of sculptural metalwork through archival printing.

For The Metalagram Experience, we integrate proprietary LED lighting and synchronized music with a collage of Metalagrams, immersing viewers in a heightened sensory journey. This body of work moves beyond conventional reality, revealing profound insights into perception that neither photography nor the human eye alone can capture.

Schinkel Fine Art is housed in Detroit’s Moross House, the city’s oldest brick residence. Behind it, the Detroit Secret Garden offers a lush, secluded retreat, where ivy-clad brick walls enclose a tranquil courtyard bursting with greenery—an unexpected sanctuary in the heart of the city.
