Sarina Kamini - The Spirit of Spice

I’m Sarina Kamini—an author, food writer, and film maker exploring the intersection of memory, identity, and food. As a Kashmiri-Australian raised between cultures, my work is shaped by a constant dialogue between East and West, and what it means to belong.

For me, masala isn’t just flavour—it’s a language. It’s how I decode tradition, identity, and the stories we carry across generations. Through my work, I bring the Indian table to global audiences, showing how food is not just something we eat, but something that holds memory and meaning.

If you have a story you’d like to share, or know someone who should, I’d love to hear from you.
