Rx PROJECT - music is a prescription for our world

Rx PROJECT's founder, Chris Mekker, is a former lead guitar player of the highly acclaimed Tom Sartori Band. After helping to lay a foundation for Tom Sartori’s 2004 national college tour, Mekker left the band to focus on building his own music business. Rx PROJECT started off as a studio recording artist (member, ASCAP) and grew to to perform dozens of live concerts in 2004.

Chris Mekker of Rx PROJECT delivers a truly original performance by blending his alternative vocal sound with a classically influenced guitar style. In April of 2004, Mekker coordinated the release of Rx PROJECT’s CD single, “Does Anybody Understand,” which reached radio stations in 13 states along the East Coast, including 97.1 (97X) and 88.5 (WMNF) in Tampa Bay. The 2004 “Music as a Prescription for the World” Tour also brought Rx PROJECT live performances to venues in Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, New York and Ontario, Canada.
