RSV Rescue

RSV Rescue fixes broken Sony .RSV files and recovers the footage inside them.

When a Sony camera stops mid-recording because the battery died, the card filled up or the camera overheated or shut down, it leaves a .RSV file instead of a normal clip, and the file can't be opened in Premiere, Final Cut, Resolve or a media player. RSV Rescue repairs it and turns it back into a playable MP4/MOV with picture and sound in sync.

Works with the Sony A7S III, FX3, FX30, A7 IV, a1, ZV-E1 and other XAVC cameras. It runs in your browser on Mac and Windows, and your footage is never uploaded. Start with a free 15-second preview, then pay per file only if it works.
