Rochester Building & Construction Trades Council

Established in 1963 the Rochester Building & Construction Trades Council consists of 18 individual construction unions, each with well over 100 years of service to our community. Collectively these craft unions represent nearly 10,000 unionized construction workers in the Upstate New York, Finger Lakes and Greater Rochester Region.

Believing that every worker deserves a fair wage and safe working conditions, our mission is to represent and support the local men and women that build our roads, bridges, schools, and office buildings. These are the talented men and women who build and maintain the historic and ever-changing Rochester Skyline.

The Rochester Building & Construction Trades Council  represents approximately 10,000 construction workers and 18 member unions that are highly skilled in a wide variety of crafts. These men and women are an intricate part of our region’s economy and future economic prosperity.
