River and Lake Life

We live on the waters edge in rural Vanderburgh / Posey County line. The Ohio River bank is our backyard and kids playground.
We are also situated on a private man made lake from the 1930’s. This lake was a rock quarry before it became a lake. The quarry was mined for stone which was used as a base layer for a local highway near us, also known as Broadway Ave. in Evansville, Indiana.
The rock quarry was dug over 90ft. deep in many places. After the 30’s WPA came in and built a dam to create a lake. This now private 7 acre lake is known as Loss Lake or Servel Lake.
This was a public lake many years ago where groups and people would come and enjoy it like boyscouts and other groups.
We have since made this a private lake with a shared neighbor and enjoy our long days of fishing and enjoying all of Gods greatest creatures that live around here.
Join us by watching and subscribing as we encounter many wildlife adventures we would like to share with you all.
