IBERO-AMERICAN NETWORK FOR RESEARCH IN CULTURE AND KNOWLEDGE OF FOOD SYSTEMS

Our network aims to study the symbolic dimension of food systems and in that sense, understand the problems that concern the world in the current era, such as hunger, unequal access to resources, health and food, as well as the increasingly critical situation of damage to the environment due to the change in our food consumption patterns. 
Therefore, our second objective, in addition to understanding these phenomena, proposes to establish and test a participatory methodology for the facilitation, activation and evaluation of small emerging communities of food knowledge, based on the development of practices of active self-determination on their memories, definitions and prospects of their daily diet. 
The above, in order to collaborate with agents in the construction of sustainable, autonomous and collective alternatives.
