Ricky Mortensen

Welcome, My name is Ricky and here on YouTube I make easy to digest short videos that are about something or someone from History. My main focus is Northern California since that is where I was raised and know more about but I occasionally expand to other western states such as Oregon Nevada and Washington (Which is where I currently reside) My videos are story based and not hard fact based. I don't care about dates and names as much as I care about the story. I was a C and D student in History class back in Middle and High School, the reason for that was teachers are required to teach according to standards and instead of us learning ideas and stories we are tested on how well we can memorize dates and names then regurgitate them back. I notice that basic history is not known by many people, not because they are dumb (as some would have you believe) but rather they were taught in a faulty way. I hope that through this I can make History entertaining and satisfy your curiosity.
