Resa B. Luster-Mac | In Real Life

Welcome to Resa, In Real Life — a behind-the-scenes look at motherhood, marriage, fitness, culture, and building a multi-generational, Black-owned family business.

I’m a mom, wife, fitness lover, and third-generation leader at Luster Products, the oldest Black-owned, family-owned haircare manufacturer in the world (est. 1957). My grandfather built this company with one rule: stay family-owned, stay Black-owned, and never sell out — and we’ve honored that legacy for 69 years.

Here you’ll find real conversations about hair hydration, legacy, leadership, faith, fitness, Chicago life, and what it actually looks like to build while raising a family.

No filters. No fluff. Just real life, in real time.
