Remembering How to Live

Remembering How to Live is about the things we’ve forgotten somewhere along the way.

I’m Brendan. With my wife, our four kids and four generations of family, we’re building a different life on 44 acres in the New England Highlands of NSW.

Growing food, raising animals, working the land, questioning how we’re told to live and sharing the journey.

Land. Family. Food. Ceremony. Fire. Work. Elders. Kids. Community. Responsibility. Presence.

Here we explore living closer to life again, working with our hands, growing food, spending time outside, sitting around fires, learning from those who came before us, raising capable kids, building community and questioning whether convenience has made us better at living.

Not about going backwards.

Not about pretending the past was perfect.

Just remembering what was worth carrying forward.

Because maybe we don’t need another new way to live.

Maybe we need to remember some of the old ones.
