There are three essential components of the ministry of the priesthood or covenant mediation that we find established in the Scriptures, as a provision for sinful men: There must be something to offer, there must be a place to offer it, and there must be one who offers it. For centuries we find animals, an earthly temple, and human priests yet this was not good enough. We need that which is not a copy of the heavenly pattern, but the pattern itself. Christ is the perfect revelation of that heavenly pattern.
