Welcome to the official YouTube channel for the R.B. Henderson Plasterco Museum.

We’re documenting the restoration of the historic 19th-century general store building in Plasterco, Virginia, and preserving the stories of the once bustling community of Plasterco, Va.

Here, you'll find a behind-the-scenes look at bringing the old building back to life, deep dives into Southwest Virginia genealogy and local lore, and a bit of traditional Appalachian music straight from the hills.

No corporate polish or mainstream noise—just honest history, grassroots preservation, and the people and families who shaped Washington and Smyth County and beyond.
