Ragnar Dobson

Welcome to the Saga. I am Ragnar Dobson, a UK-based composer, producer, and lyricist creating heavy, cinematic hybrid Nordic & Viking Folk Metal operating independently under the banner of Valhalla Records ℗.

Using my 100% real, authentic human vocal recordings and deep traditional throat-singing structures, I forge immersive, pulse-driven soundscapes by training custom studio instrumentation models to wrap massive drums and traditional tagelharpa lines around my voice.

Follow along as I tell the epic multi-part concept story of Astrid and her battle against the ancient curse of the Barrow-King.

my independent breakthrough has been officially recognized across regional UK press networks, featured heavily on the front pages of Wigan Today and the Leigh Journal, alongside active track reviews within the BBC Introducing broadcast databases.

Skål and enjoy the journey!
