Racism The Disease

"Racism: The Disease" reframes racism not as an inherent trait but as a learned condition. One that can be unlearned and treated. Drawing on decades of conversations behind the barber chair, Quincy Joseph invites readers into a dialogue centered on understanding, accountability, and healing rather than blame or guilt. The book explores how racism is passed down, normalized, and embedded in systems, examining its historical roots, psychological impact, and generational effects. It clarifies the distinctions between bias, prejudice, and racism, and argues that both those harmed by racism and those conditioned by it deserve healing. Blending personal reflection, history, neuroscience, and compassion, the book calls for collective responsibility and meaningful repair.
