BridesRead - Scarlett revisits the Classics

It is such fun to re-read, re-visit and re-discover the great classics of world's literature but now unleashed inside my head they knock at my skull crying: 'Me next! Revisit me!' Count Tolstoy and Mr Gogol gently smile and look away with barely concealed pity, while Onegin snorts with impatience. Mr Pickwick despatches his valet with a hand written note intimating that: "if I would review them next I would greatly oblige him." Tristram Shandy and Baron Munchausen express mild interest. Mr Fielding politely nods, aware of my profound admiration he could not care less whether I revisit him or not. Don Quixote and The Leopard have all the time in the world. Mesdames Karenina et Bovary's gloved little hands gently wave at me from the shadow but I'll scare myself with Peter Quint and Miss Jessel first!

These amazing works of genius were meant to be read widely and will much reward anyone if given a chance. Be inspired, do your thing, have a laugh and keep trying, right?
