Quejío

Quejío treats compás as a living framework rather than a sample laid over a beat. Inés Alcaraz's close Spanish vocal, palmas and heel percussion meet Mateo Roldán's nylon-string guitar, cajón, sub-bass and electronics. The Seville duo stretches intimate flamenco tension toward the dancefloor without breaking its rhythmic spine.
