1972 Annandale High Atoms Football Season

This channel memorializes the 1972 Annandale High School Football season, during which the Atoms compiled a 12-1 record and won the Virginia Group AAA State Championship. It includes videos of eight of the 10 regular-season games, plus all three post-season games. Annandale's victories over Yorktown and Wakefield have not yet been recovered. They will be added should they become available.

The 1972 team, as well as individual players Mike Lucido (#44) and Tom Fadden (#42), have been inducted into the Annandale High School Athletics Hall of Fame. The videos were produced by the late Reuben Weaver, a proud Annandale High School graduate and former football player. May this collection serve to honor the love, time and talent he invested in recording the original game films on to DVDs. This channel offers public access to the digitized MP4 versions of those videos for historical purposes. The videos are presented as Reuben produced them with no editing or enhancement.
