PROSTIR History

PROSTIR is a project dedicated to the history of the Alpine, Adriatic, and Pannonian regions.

On this channel you’ll find long-form, story-driven videos about archaeology and ancient history – from the Eastern Alps to the Pannonian Plain, the Adriatic coast, and the wider Mediterranean world.

Here we explore:
- archaeological landscapes through field trips and drone footage
- stories of ancient communities - their migrations, wars, cultures, and belief systems
- connections between local sites in the Eastern Alpine region and the broader history of Europe

If you enjoy carefully researched narratives, maps, material culture, and a bit of fieldwork mixed in, you’re in the right place.
