Porto Philharmonic Orchestra

The Porto Philharmonic Orchestra is a Japanese community orchestra based in the Tokyo metropolitan area.

Formed primarily by musicians in their 20s and 30s from a wide range of professional backgrounds, the orchestra began its activities in preparation for its inaugural concert in August 2024.

The name “Porto“ comes from the Italian word for “port” or “harbor”. Inspired by the vibrant atmosphere of a harbor where people from many different backgrounds come together, we aim to create a place where musicians with diverse musical backgrounds can freely connect, build a musical community, and share their passion for music.
