Podere La Gualda Vecchia

La Gualda Vecchia is a 16th-century countryhouse on a hillock surrounded by nature, in Monteverdi Marittimo, one of the wildest and most authentic Tuscany one can see. Bruna fell in love with this place in 2020 and decided to move here and turn it into a small accommodation facility, where guests can find a hospitality made of quietness, attention to detail and contact with nature. Inaugurated in 2021 after a complete renovation the house is surrounded by 7 thousand square metres of Emotional Garden. The Garden is composed of an entrance of labyrinthine beds of graminaceous plants, a natural amphitheatre, a realm of fire, an ornamental vegetable garden, a parterre that looks out like a terrace over the entire Val di Cornia, from the metalliferous hills to the peaks of the Island of Elba, and a water square, where you can find emotional showers, a hydro-massage tub and a wooden sauna, in the name of a concept of well-being that is closely linked to the surrounding environment.
