Paul Carrick - Painting & Carving

Hello!  I love to paint and carve, this channel focuses on both of these pursuits.  

I have been painting my whole adult life, and illustrating since the mid 90's.  I am likely most known for my illustrations based on the writing of H.P. Lovecraft, and much of those are for table-top role playing games such as Call of Cthulhu.  Also:  Dungeons & Dragons, Legend of the Five Rings, Doomtown, Album covers, hard cider and beer labels, etc.  Fun imaginative stuff!

Woodcarving is newer to me.  I inherited my father's tools and made numerous attempts over the years to figure out how to use them.  During some renovation projects there became a 'need' to carve some details such as trim, and that was the final push I needed to understand the process better.  It is a real joy and I look forward to sharing those projects with you.
