Pizza Tapes Jam origin story
Jerry Garcia, Dave Grisman John Harford, Tony Rice and others would share songs recording them at home. They captured a homegrown sound that is missed in their concert shows. The story goes, a pizza delivery person put one recording up for free in the early days of the internet.
Pizza Tapes Jam (PTJ) is simply Mel Smothers and friends playing songs from the Pizza Tapes for one another.
