Established in 1979.

Founded in Austin, Texas, photo-eye started as a mail order photobook business. In 1991, photo-eye moved to Santa Fe, NM and opened a combined gallery and bookstore. In 1996 photo-eye created one of the first e-commerce bookstores and gallery websites. In 1998.

Representing leading national and international photographers including Nick Brandt, Julie Blackmon, Tom Chambers, Mitch Dobrowner, Michael Kenna and Brad Wilson, among others.
