I am a Belgian living and working in Washington DC.
My work gives me the means to travel, discover, enjoy and share. My wife gives me the motivation.

As an IT professional, I see technology as a bridge — it connects us, shrinks distances, and captures moments. Yet, I also see how progress can blur the lines of cultural identity, leaving behind the traditions that once defined us.
So many things "of the past" disappear in the name of progress and modernization.  Cultural identity is becoming a tourist attraction.  I wish I had today's technology back in the old days to record and share what I had the chance to witness and which is now no more.

During my travels, I search for local wooden spinning tops — each one a small cultural artifact, spinning stories from around the world.

This channel is my space to share what might otherwise be lost.
