Perimatica

Perimatica is for people who wonder how ordinary things came to be.

Each video essay starts with something everyone takes for granted and follows it back to the change that made it, wherever that leads: history, language, the mind, money, belief, technology, science, philosophy. The answer usually sits where those fields meet.

Every video is built on a sourced essay, and every claim traces back to it.

The name joins peripatetic, after Aristotle's walking school, with polymath.
