Giuseppe Ortu

Musician, songwriter, guitarist, and singer... Music is beyond words!

Born in Cagliari on June 25, 1985, Giuseppe Ortu began his musical journey at the age of 13 when he first picked up a self-taught guitar. He grew artistically performing in showcases and contests across Cagliari and Southern Sardinia, honing his craft on stages throughout the region and building an unbreakable bond with his land and his audience.

At 21, he founded "the Neuma." As the primary songwriter and composer, Ortu led the band to the release of their self-titled album "Neuma" (2008)—a visceral project that you can listen to in its entirety right here on this channel.

Today, Ortu continues to write and share his story through music, reinterpreting tracks from his favorite artists and evolving his narrative through constant sonic exploration.
