Paz: The Quiet Miles

I’m Michael, but in the military I was known as Paz. These days you’ll find me running and hiking the mountains of North Wales with my dog, Skye.

After 26 years in the military — reaching Regimental Sergeant Major and later commissioning as a Late Entry Officer — the mountains have become somewhere to clear my head, stay fit and find a bit of space.

From 5Ks and marathons to mountain runs, hidden routes and bigger challenges, Paz: The Quiet Miles is about getting outside, keeping moving and enjoying some of the quieter places around North Wales.

Alongside my Kelpie x Collie, Skye, I’ll share the routes, the difficult days, lessons from life after service and the occasional thought about fitness, discipline and getting older.

A bloke, a dog, and the hills of North Wales.

Clear the head. Process your thoughts. Keep moving forward.
