Patrick Poon - Veteran Product Designer / Inventor

Patrick Poon is an industrial designer, inventor, and First Principle Thinker with 35+ years of experience across North America and Asia.
A graduate of the Fanshawe College School of Design in Ontario, Canada, Patrick worked in the United States and Canada for over 15 years on products linked to brands including Motorola/Codex, American Express Imprinter, BEL-Tronics, and Sunbeam/Holmes.
After returning to Hong Kong, he operated an ODM factory for more than 20 years, developing plastic and electronic products for clients in the US, Europe, and Japan.
From 2012 to 2019, Patrick created TACTBIT (亮立方), the world’s first magnetic electronic building block system, winner of multiple international awards and Intertek approved for ages 1 to 100.
In March 2020, his bilingual YouTube videos on sterilizing and reusing surgical masks helped over 1 million viewers during the global mask shortage.
