Pastor Joshua Robinson

Pastor Joshua Robinson has served Gate City Christian Church in Pocatello, Idaho, since 1998. He started as youth pastor, became associate pastor in 2008, and was named Lead Teaching Pastor and Director of Discipleship in 2024. In this elder-led congregation, he provides the primary teaching, directs discipleship, small groups, and leadership development, supervises staff, and oversees pastoral care and daily ministry operations.

Much of his leadership style took shape in youth ministry. When he arrived, the youth group had four students. It grew into a midweek gathering of more than 75, with its own service, a volunteer staff of 12 church members, and an active role in serving and reaching teenagers across the city. Over the years he has led retreats for hundreds of students, at times with adult staff teams of 40 to 50, and taught youth ministry to hundreds of young people. He holds that size is not the measure of the work, and that patiently showing up for people matters more.
