Paper Jewels Postcards from the Raj

PaperJewels.org is a website with a growing repository of thousands of free, professionally-restored postcards from the Raj – India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka (Ceylon) and Myanmar (Burma) between 1892 and 1947 and even later. Research for the book Paper Jewels Postcards from the Raj by Omar Khan (Mapin/Alkazi, 2018) more widely shared, plus an intermittent series called Postcard Pearls that feature old postcards and modern scenes brought into uneasy harmony.
