Peterborough Athletics Concussion Awareness

PACA was formed in April 2019 under the leadership of the Peterborough Family Health Team and Peterborough Public Health to increase awareness to protect athletes from concussion related harms. PACA aims to set a new standard for how communities tackle the issue of sport related concussions by bringing together several different community organizations who all connect with youth school and sport.  

Members consist of Trent University, Fleming College, Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board, Peterborough Victoria Northumberland Clarington Catholic District School Board, Lakefield College, Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation, Peterborough City, CMHA, Brain Injury Association of Peterborough, Headsup Concussion Advocacy Network, Dr. Steph Dallaire, Dr. Joan Himann and is funded by GPHSF, Your Family Health Team Foundation and H.O.P.E. (Helping Others Participate Equally).
