Owls in the Tower

Welcome to 'Owls in the Tower' - A livestream channel from the bustling village of Nelson in South Wales. The initial project was conceived by, and is in memory of a local resident, Jeff Davies. Since installing our initial cameras in 2021/2022 we have been able to observe our first breeding cycle in 2023, where 6 eggs were laid, 4 hatched, and currently have 3 surviving siblings, all female. The owls are generally active later evening and early morning, but it has been known for them to pop out at various times, so do keep watching. The nesting site is within the tall, ancient tower of St. John's church which was built around 1900. It's been known that barn owls have been breeding here for well over a decade, and we now have an insight into their nocturnal activity. Once our three girls are self-sufficient this year, we plan on making some amendments to our camera positions, but we've so far managed to capture some absolutely amazing moments, and hope to capture many more!
