Otis's Barn

I've pulled hundred-year-old equipment out of barns that still worked. Somebody knew something.

I'm Otis. I'm sixty-four. I spent forty years picking barns and estate auctions across the Midwest, and I grew up on a hundred and sixty acres outside Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Everything on this channel is what farmers did when there was no power in the barn, no store for twenty miles, and no money for either — and why most of it still beats what they sell you now.

Fence posts that outlive the man who set them. Bugs out of the grain without a drop of spray. Barns that stayed dry a century without a sealant. Tools with the original handles. All of it for a few dollars or nothing, done the barn way.

And I'll be straight with you every time: what works, what doesn't, what's against the law now, and where the old-timers had the right rule for the wrong reason. I'd rather be useful than romantic.

New video every day. I read every comment.
