Opinionated Science Educator

This channel is my attempt at 'video channel thing'. Covid thrust teachers into the digital world. As a teacher educator, my aim is to find ways to equip student teachers to embrace this new digital era of teaching. My purpose with this channel is firstly, to find ways to provide School students (GET & FET) doing science with innovative ways to learn science content and deal with difficult concepts. Secondly, provide pre-service science teachers, science teachers and science educators, and emerging science education researchers like myself with pearls of wisdom gained through reflection about my own experiences as a teacher, lecturer, and researcher. My journey into this field, and remaining in it due to my sexual orientation, with science & education dominated by heteronormative ideas, I will also outline the challenges faced, and try provide some tips, guidance, motivation and my opinion to others in the field.
