Oceans Under Stars

Oceans Under Stars is a dark post-rock / grungegaze band from Edmonton, Alberta formed by Barrett Klesko and Jono Webster. Blending shoegaze, post-metal, doom, ambient, and alternative rock, the band creates emotionally heavy music built around atmosphere, tension, and massive walls of texture.

Before forming Oceans Under Stars, Barrett performed with All Else Fails and The Secret Places of the Earth, while Jono played with Striker, The Order of Chaos, Degenerator, and the Tylor Dory Trio. Between them are decades of touring, recording, and performing across North America, Europe, and Asia.

What started as a creative outlet gradually became something more personal and consuming. Oceans Under Stars leans heavily into themes of identity, grief, emotional collapse, memory, isolation, and the crushing psychological weight of modern life. At its core, Oceans Under Stars is less about escapism and more about confrontation.
