Welcome to the official YouTube channel of the Ford Ranger New Zealand Rural Games - the premier celebration of rural sports in New Zealand. Held in The Square, Palmerston North on the second weekend of March its an awesome family weekend.

🏆 20 championships, including women and rookies Stihl Timbersports, sheep shearing, sheepdog trials and coal shovelling, plus Highland Games 'heavy' events and a host of have-a-go sports like gumboot throwing, egg roulette, youth shearing and cow pat tossing 💩.

There are special events just for kids - tree climbing, self-drive digger and heaps more have-a-go events. 

The weekend starts on Friday with the Agri Futures Clash of the Colleges and that evening is the Ford New Zealand Rural Sports Awards.
