Nyungwe National Park - Rwanda

Raising above the shores of Lake Kivu, in the South-west of Rwanda, Nyungwe National Park is the largest block of the high-altitude montane forest in East Africa. Forest walks, East Africa's only canopy walkway, Primate viewing and birdwatching are the biggest attractions in the park. In October 2020 African Parks and Rwanda Development Board (RDB) entered into a 20-year agreement to manage Nyungwe National Park, working closely with the local communities, implementing an effective law enforcement strategy, and restoring and protecting wildlife to ensure the long-term ecological, social and economic sustainability of the park.
