The Northern Davao Electric Cooperative, Inc. commonly known by its acronym “NORDECO” is a cooperative organized on September 24, 1971 by virtue of the enactment of national laws more particularly Republic Act No. 6038 which was later amended by Presidential Decree No. 269, Presidential Decree No. 1645 and Letter of Instruction No. 38. It is organized to provide affordable, dependable and round-the-clock electricity not only in the urban areas but also in far-flung barangays and remote areas. Through the years, NORDECO is a recipient of various prestigious awards given by NEA for the excellent performance. Within its coverage area, NORDECO successfully energized sixteen (16) municipalities and two (2) cities in two (2) provinces namely: Davao de Oro and Davao del Norte. Insatiable to such achievements, the coop must arm its operation with more improvements in order to emerge victorious in the future challenges under the restructured atmosphere in electric industry.
