Navin Ramani Design

I am a former interior designer based in Vancouver, Canada, and the author of Bombay Art Deco Architecture (2007), a seminal publication documenting the rich Art Deco heritage of Mumbai.
Having lived for over 17 years in both Mumbai and Miami, I have developed a deep appreciation for the architectural character, cultural influences and distinctive design spirit of these two remarkable cities.
Through this channel, I am sharing an abbreviated version of my visual presentation delivered at the November 2025 Art Deco Centenary Symposium in Mumbai. Drawing extensively on images from my book, Bombay Art Deco Architecture, now out of print, as well as my own photography and research, the presentation explores the fascinating architectural connections, contrasts and shared cultural influences between Mumbai and Miami Beach, celebrating their enduring Art Deco legacy.
