My Mistaken Melody

My Mistaken Melody turns real life into music—the things I feel, the things I see, and the stories that stay with me long enough to become songs.

I’m a Gen X mom, songwriter, and storyteller creating music from lived experience—grief, healing, relationships, boundaries, motherhood, humor, growth, and the unexpected moments that make us human.

I spent a lot of years adapting to what everyone else needed. Music became a place where I could document and process my feelings, experiences, and perspective—and turn them into songs.

The sound changes because life does. The thread connecting it all is the story.

• Some songs are what I feel
• Some are what I see
• Some explore AI’s view of the human experience
• And some are simply for fun

You’ll find original music, music videos, lyric videos, alternate genres, and visual storytelling.

Human-centered. Story-driven. AI-assisted.

I made this so I could finally hear myself. Maybe you’ll hear yourself in it, too.
