Jamaican Network of Seropositives (JN+)

At the Jamaican Network of Seropositives (JN+) we advocate for the rights and concerns of People Living with and affected by HIV and AIDS, through empowerment, partnership, and resource mobilization.

The Network began in 1996 following the first regional meeting of People Living with HIV and AIDS in Trinidad. In 1997, network was publicly launched with support from the National HIV/STI Control Programme (NHCP) and CAREC. In 2004, the Network became a sub-recipient of the Global Fund for HIV, Tuberculosis, and Malaria. By mid-2006, the membership had grown to nearly 300 with ten affiliated Self Support Groups island-wide. 

JN+ is a member of the National AIDS Committee, the Council of Voluntary Social Services (CVSS), and the UN Theme Group. JN+ is registered with the Registrar of Companies as a National Network of Self Support Groups of Personals Living with HIV and AIDS.
