Music With Mark

Free dobro lessons from Mark Lavengood, 2012 RockyGrass dobro champion.

Music With Mark is a free lesson series for every player. The Dobro Series has 29 video lessons, from dobro lessons for beginners to advanced technique, all filmed at The Bear Den in Michigan: tuning to open G, intonation, forward and backward rolls, the chop, scales, licks, harmonics, slants, inversions, and Mark's original tune "Sliding Rock," taught part by part.

Make a free account at musicwithmark.com and the whole library is yours. No card. Learn dobro online at your own pace: resonator guitar lessons in open G for bluegrass and beyond.

Lap steel lessons are next, then mandolin and banjo, each with the same full beginner-to-advanced series.

Why free? Mark learned to play because people shared what they knew. The lessons stay free because players and fans choose to support them, plus brand partners as they come on board. Nobody has to pay to learn.

Filmed and produced by Bear Mark Productions.
