MtnMike

Welcome to my channel. Based near the Sierra Nevada range in California, I spend my time exploring the highest peaks with a special focus on Mount Whitney.

At 14,505 feet, Mt. Whitney is a dream hike for thousands, but it demands respect. On this channel, I take you with me on hiking adventures deep into the Whitney Zone and beyond. No loud music, no distractions—just the raw sounds of the wind, my footsteps on the trail, and the overwhelming solitude of the High Sierra.

What you'll find here:
🥾 Mount Whitney Deep Dives: From the Mt. Whitney Trail to the Mountaineer's Route, I cover it all.
⛰️ Sierra Nevada Backpacking: Solo, silent, and immersive overnight trips.
⚠️ Honest Safety Advice: Altitude awareness, weather decisions, gear that works, and when to turn back.
