MSU Reading Programs

The Reading Program at Montclair State University offers two different programs of study. The Masters of Reading can be taken in either a traditional format or as part of an accelerated cohort, each of which also lead to a Reading Specialist Certification. There is also a stand along Reading Specialist Certification Program designed for teachers who already have an MA in addition to their standard teaching certificate. In addition to coursework, we hold events that focus on particular areas of literacy development and pedagogy, such as those that are archived here. Please contact the Graduate Program Coordinator, Erik Jacobson (jacobsone@montclair.edu), if you have any questions.
