MPC Guest Authors Series

The Guest Authors Series at Monterey Peninsula College brings accomplished writers of prose and poetry to campus for public readings and discussions. The videos posted here capture these terrific writers as they share their work and thoughts about writing in various campus venues.

The Guest Authors Series is one element of the rich writing environment on California's beautiful Central Coast. Writers have long found the area inspiring -- John Steinbeck, Henry Miller, Jack Kerouac, Robert Heinlein, Jane Smiley, Robinson Jeffers and many more have produced some of their finest works here. Writers at MPC find the Guest Authors Series complemented by a multi-genre Creative Writing Program, a fine literary magazine, a very active Creative Writing Club, and a nationally recognized Great Books Program.
