Mo the Painter · 小墨

Shan shui (山水画, "mountains and water") ink painting, stroke by stroke. Mo is a master ink painter: he paints Chinese landscapes the way the old masters did, outline, texture, wash and colour, to the sound of his brush, his ink bowl, his tea and a quiet guqin. No two paintings are ever the same.

Here you'll find whole shan shui paintings, an hour or so each, from his first stroke to his seals: Chinese ink landscape painting with guqin music, for study, work, sleep or slowing down. And Mo's little moments: tea breaks, naps, waking with a start.
