Missionary Servants of the Blessed Sacrament [AMSS]

The Congregation of the MISSIONARY SERVANTS OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT [AMSS] was founded by Mother Caterina Zecchini.

Mo. Caterina was born on May 24, 1877 in Venice, Italy. The era of her birth was characterized by missionary awakening and a strong Eucharistic devotion. Hence, an ardent love for the Eucharist and mission took root and grew in her heart. As a young lady, she initiated several mission activities, which were inspired and supported by the Eucharist. While adoring Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament in 1912, she felt the call to found a Congregation dedicated to the support of mission. On May 31, 1923, the first members of the Congregation gathered as a community. They dedicated their lives to God, and offered their works, prayers and sacrifices for the benefit of the mission and the missionaries around the world. At present, the MSBS Congregation has sisters from Italy, Colombia, Philippines, Myanmar, Indonesia and Vietnam.
