Phil Miller & The Mills-Tones

Phil Miller & The Mills-Tones are reviving the days of powerful, broad-walled blues and soul bands. Role models? The Allman Brothers Band, Joe Cocker's Mad Dogs & Englishmen, Paul Butterfield Bluesband and, of course, the Tedeschi Trucks Band and Marcus King.

A rhythm section consisting of drums and bass, two guitars with vintage tone, Hammond organ, Rhodes and piano sounds, brass section and several vocals - blues bands rarely sound so fat, funky and musical. The songs - whether self-written or selected covers away from the mainstream - provide the basis for rampant improvisations at the highest level. When the solo really kicks in, the Mills-Tones are really pushing the listener - namely musical delicacies without a time limit!
