Mike Morrice Kitchener Centre

Mike Morrice was first elected in September 2021 to represent the riding of Kitchener Centre as their Member of Parliament. The priorities he is focusing on were heard directly from residents of Kitchener Centre when he first ran in the 2019 federal election, and again in 2021 when he made history as Ontario's first elected Green MP. 

Mike came to Waterloo Region in 2003 to study at Wilfrid Laurier University, completing a double degree in business and computer electronics. Quickly hooked by the entrepreneurial spirit of Waterloo Region, he founded and ran Sustainable Waterloo Region before starting Green Economy Canada. 

Over a period of 13 years he engaged hundreds of businesses to act on the climate crisis, while also serving as an active community volunteer, including serving on the Board of Kitchener Housing Inc, a member of the Rotary Club of Kitchener, and a Trustee of the KW Awesome Foundation.
