Melbourne Asia Review (MAR) is a quarterly online journal-magazine offering research based analysis on Asia. Produced by the Asia Institute, University of Melbourne, MAR draws on the expertise of the researchers, students, and international collaborators from one of the world’s leading research centres for Asian Studies. At the forefront of research and teaching on Asia’s languages and societies, its politics, histories and cultures, we seek to convey specialised knowledge in ways useful to an audience not just within academia, but also within policy-making circles, industry and civil society.
